Record Rates Enough?

The title of Jennifer Hiller’s most recent post at www.mysanantonio.com/realestate is “Very low, teeny-tiny mortgage rates,” and she couldn’t have said it any better. Interest rates are at an all time low. 30 year rates hit 3.75% and 15 year rates broke the 3% mark with a rate of 2.97%. With these record rates, it will be interesting to watch the San Antonio residential market. We are in the middle of the most active time of the year, how will buyers respond?  I am also curious if these lower interest rates are enough to motivate people who are thinking about listing their home? It seems there is opportunity with motivated buyers, not to mention that sellers would like to take advantage of the record rates as they look to buy their next home.
